Kill Your Pet Puppy - The UK punk zine Kill Your Pet Puppy ran for six issues between 1979 and 1984. The first issue went on sale at the New Year’s Eve concert of Adam and the Ants at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. Editor was Tony Drayton, who had previously produced the fanzine Ripped & Torn. Kill Your Pet Puppy was written and designed in 'anarcho-situationist style' by a fluctuating group of around 12 members of the Puppy Collective, originating from the London punk-squat scene. The magazine regularly included essays on punk as an alternative life choice, articles on revolutionary movements and writings on a range of post-punk bands. The Puppy Collective were also active participants in events and situations of the period such as the Stonehenge Free festivals from 1982 - 1984. Tony Drayton later worked for the NME.
