Background information
Greg ‘Stackhouse” Prevost – Greg Prevost (1955) founded and edited punk magazine Future (Rochester, NY, USA) of which at least 6 issues appeared between 1977 and 1982. The focus of Future was on punk, garage and psychedelia. Future developed into the more refine Outasite magazine around 1982. Outasite was irregularly published between 1982 and 1999. Final issues of Outasite were published by Sundazed Music (Coxsackie, NY). He contributed to various other magazines such as Gorilla Beat, Hartbeat, Kicks, Breakthrough, Blitz, Goldmine and Record Collector. He is currently a staff writer for Mike Stax’s Ugly Things magazine and writing for Jon ‘Mojo’ Mills’ Shindig magazine. He authored and wrote the book Rolling Stones Gear, released in 2014. Greg was guitarist in a number of garage, punk, psychedelic bands, the most well-known being The Chesterfield Kings.
