Background information

Eindelijk was a Belgian Provo journal from Gent that published 7 issues between March 1966 and April 1967 was founded by Siegfried (Sieg) van de Cruys. Contributors included Erkki Liukku, Armand Sermon, Miel Appelmans, Mark Elchardus, Sus van Elzen, Sann Deurinck, Guido Courtois and Guido van Meir (Original Thinker Number One or O.T.). Eindelijk started as a "magazine of ideas", an alternative for the existing magazine of “Taalminnend Studentengenootschap ’t Zal wel gaan; in short “TSG t’ Zal wel gaan” or “’t Zal” (Language-loving Student Society We will manage). Issue 2 was confiscated, because of the inclusion of a postage stamp with the image of King Boudewijn with the remark that the only legitimate argument for the conservation of the monarchy is the fact that the image of the king revives the hearts of stamp collectors. A special issue on Vietnam, the first in the “Western mis-civilization” series, was published in December 1966.
